The X Factor- Owen Stuart Sings for Girlfriend Victoria, Pulls at Demi Lovato’s Heart Strings
Who doesn’t love a story with such a romantic notion that a man wants to be famous to reunite with his long distant love? For Owen Stuart this is just the case. He wants to win The X Factor so he can be with his girlfriend Victoria who he has not seen since he moved from New York to North Carolina. Now, I’m not sure, but I would think if he was desperate enough to see her he could get a job at McDonald’s and save his pennies for a plane ticket. Either way.. why not go for the sympathy vote?
“Being away from Tori is the absolute worst pain I’ve ever felt,” Owen told the world in his pre-package. He also told another contestant that he wrote a whole album about her. When Simon Cowell Would call his first album “The Fall Out” would be a concept album of the craziness of his life. Ever so appropriately this popstar hopeful chose B.O.B’s “Airplanes” for his audition. The song is about getting on a plane just to be with the one you love and doing what do for them. Major points with the ladies, Owen!
The biggest surprise was not only could Owen deliver the rap verses, but he had a shockingly good voice as well.
- L.A. Reid: I really enjoyed that. It was really good. When someone raps on this stage it’s really tough because you’re competing with singers, but you also sing. And you do both really well.
- Britney Spears: I think that was a really good performance, but you didn’t wow me.
- Demi Lovato: I think every girl in this audience really wishes they were Tori right now because those lyrics were so romantic. You sounded so cool.
- Simon Cowell: I really, really like you. I think you’re very committed. Very focused. Very passionate about what you do. I think you can get better and better.
Britney still didn’t feel it when it came down to the vote giving him his only no. Good news though, he only needs three yeses to move on, which he got. He’s one step closer to his lady love.
