The Voice's Adam Levine Launches Record Label
Simon Cowell recently blasted The Voice because unlike The X Factor, the coaches are purely musicians. He feels The X Factor is more credible because two record executives judge alongside two musicians. Perhaps Simon spoke too soon?
Adam Levine, The Voice’s most outspoken coach and Maroon 5 front man, is launching his own record label. 22 is the name and it already has its first artist. “Glee” star Matt Morrison is planning to release his sophomore album through 22.
A record label exec suits the rock star well and he admits it’s something he’s wanted to do for awhile. “Starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine, and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening,” he told Billboard.com. “Great things are in store for [Matthew] with this release.”
Morrison feels that 22 is the perfect fit for his album as well. He told Billboard.com, “Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together.”
If you win The Voice, who says you can’t win with other artists?
