The Voice: Did Tony Lucca Reject Christina Aguilera on MMC?

Was Christina Aguilera extra harsh on The Voice’s Tony Lucca because he rejected her as pre-teens?

According to former Mickey Mouse Club member Dale Godboldo, Lucca was a ladies man during his time on MMC and rejected Christina Aguilera! “Britney was in love with him. Christina was in love with him,” he told TMZ. Godboldo believes that “All of this [Voice] madness was not brought on my Tony,” but was instead a result of a scorned woman! Read more & comment »

Cee Lo Green Wants the Christina Aguilera/Adam Levine Feud to Be Over

NBC's The Voice coachesChristina Aguilera and Adam Levine took awkwardness to a new level this season on The Voice. Actually let me rephrase that, Christina Aguilera made us all completely uneasy this season. For some reason she could not get over the fact that one of her former cast mates from The Mickey Mouse Club was on the same show as her. Whether it was Christina trying to show Tony Lucca who is boss, she was relentless. In a way it hurt her because he could never do anything right in her eyes and fans retaliated against her on social networks. Read more & comment »

The Voice: Juliet Simms Proves She’s a “Free Bird”

Juliet Simms on The Voice

Juliet Simms first appeared in a tribute to her coach Cee Lo Green on The Voice. As a surprise each contestant chose one song from their coach’s catalogue to perform. It was only natural that Juliet would sing Gnarles Barkley’s  “Crazy.” Her voice was perfect for the song, I even preferred it compared to the original! At the end she thanks Cee Lo for his time working with her. Read more & comment »

Chris Mann first appeared on The Voice finale alongside his coach Christina Aguilera for a duet of “The Prayer” by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. Both admitted they were looking forward to this moment the entire season. “It’s a very challenging song to sing because he’s trained classically in ways I am not,” Christina revealed during rehearsals. The Voice: Tony Lucca’s Got “99 Problems” and Christina Aguilera is One

Tony Lucca leaves America wondering what he’ll come up with each week on The Voice. It’s no surprise that coach Adam Levine gave him the boost he didn’t really need into the finals because the two are very similar artists. Throughout The Voice Tony’s been at a one-side war with coach Christina Aguilera, though her comments that he’s one dimensional and getting votes because he’s friends with Justin Timberlake pushed him further. “That one piece of feedback changed the course of my career,” he shared. The Voice: Jermaine Paul Gets Emotional With “I Believe I Can Fly”

Jermaine Paul was the brave first performer on The Voice finale. It wasn’t long ago that the remaining member of Team Blake was singing backup for another popular R&B star. “Before The Voice I was singing background for Alicia Keys and I was in a good place, but I wanted more,” Jermaine shared. On The Voice he’s mastered his sound and truly kept his eye on the prize. He admitted that it was during the battle round that he decided he was going to just worry about himself, not what the other contestants were doing.

His coach, Blake Shelton, feels it was during “Against All Odds” that America first realized what a talent Jermaine really is. “Against All Odds is the first time America stepped back and took notice,” he gushed. This week Jermaine took on R. Kelly’s “Space Jam” anthem, “I Believe I can Fly.”

Jermaine said he thought it was the perfect song because it truly explains his journey thus far. “This is all I’ve wanted to do for all that I can remember,” he said in tears. “It’s a dream come true.” As Jermaine took stage it was nice to see Jermaine simply on stage with his choir. He sang with such passion everyone watching was moved in a some way. There’s no denying that Jermaine sounded and looked great (especially with the crazy run at the end of the song), but it was almost too safe at this point I think. Being the first performer he could get lost by the end of the show. Read more & comment »

The Voice: Gwen Sebastian Releases “Met Him a Hotel Room”

Gwen Sebastian made a short appearance on The Voice this year, as one of the country talents on Team Blake. During her battle round she was eliminated, but her career has since blossomed. Immediately following her departure from the show, Gwen appeared with Blake Shelton on tour as his backup singer. Now that is a gig you can’t pass up!

She’s also been hard at work recording new music. Her newest sing, “Met Him in a Hotel Room” officially debuts tomorrow (May 8), but has surfaced online. “Met Him in a Hotel Room” is an incredibly pleasant listen. I always loved that Gwen has such a clear, fresh sound to her voice that transfers so well with this song. Read more & comment »
