The Voice Bites: Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Javier Colon Make Headlines

Some John Lennon fans are saying “f**k you” to The Voice judge Cee Lo Green after a near disastrous performance on New Year’s Eve. The singer performed Lennon’s classic “Imagine,” but not as is. Yes, he changed the sacred lyrics from “Nothing to kill or die for/And no religion too.” to “Nothing to kill or die for/And all religion’s true.” Fans went to the Twitterverse to share their disgust, while Lennon rolled over in his grave. Green didn’t apologize, but rather explained his decision via Twitter.  “Yo I meant no disrespect by changing the lyric guys! I was trying to say a world were u could believe what u wanted that’s all.”

While Green was having the worst NYE possible, co-judge Adam Levine was having a great time with his model girlfriend and American Idol Kelly Clarkson. “Having the time of my life in Oklahoma with great friends!! Happy New Years Eve everybody!! 2012 is gonna be a great year! ,” Clarkson tweeted. Model Anne Vyalitsyna tweeted a photo with the caption, “Best New Years Ever!!!”

The Voice winner Javier Colon spent the new year with one of his biggest performances to date. Colon performed “The Star Spangled Banner” before the Orange Bowl. He told NBC that winning the competition” changed my life.” He added, “Look, I’m singing at the Orange Bowl.”
