The Bachelorette 2013: Brooks Makes an Impression While The Men Take on Ben
Who ever would truly have thought the men of The Bachelorette could deliver even more drama than the ladies of The Bachelor? Though we are only two episodes in, it’s obvious the major difference between men and women- the fights! After tonight’s episode with the men teaming up against “Evil Ben,” I’m personally waiting for some fists to go flying… but let’s get the to good parts first.
Desiree Hartsock started the show with a romantic date with Brooks. Oh Brooks, how us ladies love you. I’m not sure if it’s the long, flowing locks, the charming smile or the fact that he’s not afraid to open up and cry that makes him one of the favorites so far. The pair started their date in the most awkward setting- a bridal shop. They picked out a dress and tux then sat on the Hollywood sign looking over Los Angeles. When they took a photo dressed in costume, you couldn’t help but notice how adorable and perfect they looked together! The date ended with a heart-to-heart on a bridge with a private concert. Note: I don’t like watching Des and Brooks dance- it was almost as bad as Elaine of Seinfeld.
It was then on to the group date! Everyone but Bryden set off with Des to a winery where they starred in a rap video with Soulja Boy. Each guy played a vital role, but Des just wanted to see if the guys could let loose and have fun. Luckily they all could, and a few stood out as the most fun. The guys fought to get some alone time during the post party, Brandon was in tears because he wanted the time so bad. One guy received a rose and after wooing Des once again at the post party, single father Ben took home the rose. This didn’t happen without some backstabbing and bickering of course! The guys are all fighting over the same woman and they aren’t afraid to hide their beefs. Mikey T. was most adamant about proving that Ben was on the show for the “wrong reasons,” and he didn’t give up the entire episode. We learn that no one likes Ben and they all think he’s a fraud! When will these contestants learn that you have to solely worry about yourself, not what everyone else is doing?!
Bryden then got a one-one-one date with Des on a road trip across California. The date was from memorable, though he got a rose and Des admitted that she loved feeling like a kid again with him.
Queue in the backstabbing and bickering again as the remaining guys try to grab Des’ attention at the next cocktail party. There’s even more complaints and arguing when Ben swoops in and steals Des again for some one-on-one time. Either he’s in it to win or just great at the game!
Despite the drama of the evening, the rose ceremony went down and Des made the tough decision to send home Will, Robert and Nick this week. Brandon received the last rose, but this time he held it together without tears. The guys say it’s surprising and that they didn’t see it happening, but did anyone truly remember any “moments” between these guys and Des? I can’t say I’m shocked.
What did you think of Des’ choices this week on The Bachelorette?
