The Bachelor: Chris Harrison Thinks Ben Flajnik Made the Right Decision Sending Shawntel Home
On Monday’s The Bachelor Shawntel Newton returned in hopes that she and Bachelor Ben would have a future. All the girls in the house were upset because she had her chance on The Bachelor, it was their turn to get a good man!
Host Chris Harrison told TV Guide that the girls were downright “mean” when Shawntel had “every right to do what she did.” He thinks that the girls were horrible. “I knew they weren’t going to be happy, but they got mean,” he said. “It was like a bad high school bullying session where they ganged up on her.”
Okay Chris. Let’s ignore the fact that she could have auditioned just like all those other girls to be on the show from the start. I’d also like to point out that “drama free” Courtney was the leader of the emotional fight with Shawntel.
Harrison thought that Ben handled the situation well, even if he was “on the fence” about whether to keep her on the show or not. “There was a chance he would’ve kept her if not for the long haul, at least for the next week,” he said. “But once he saw the reaction from the girls, and the meltdown going on, that had a lot to do with it. Ben was smart and the chance of maybe hitting it off with Shawntel is not worth losing the entire house.”
Unfortunately for Jaqui and Ericka, they both lost out because of Shawntel returning when Ben decided NOT to hand out the last rose.
Who will make the cut next week when the house heads to Park City, Utah? The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
