Liz Davis Wants to Bring Country to The Voice
Liz Davis loves honky Tonk and wants to be the first country singer to win The Voice. She’s beautiful, her voice is amazing and she is charismatic- all three things needed to win America’s votes.
I have to admit that I was on the fence the entire time she performed “Here for the Party” because she seemed to jump pitch every now and then. The song didn’t get me pumped like I expected it would, but it did showcase her range and power. With the right song choice, Liz Davis could be unstoppable.
The Mississippi native was so good that Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton fought over her.
Blake Shelton: I’m not going to sit here and try to sell myself to you as a country guy. Sorry, something’s poking me in the back here, it’s actually my ACM award. I’m not sure what it’s doing here. As you listen to the mirage of crap that is going to enter your ears from these two, I do have connections in country music. That is all.
Christina Aguilera: Country may not be my first genre, but I was the first to push my button for you.
Adam Levine: Before you starting singing, I wanted to turn around right then. I think you’re wonderful. Clearly you’re beautiful. It’s about the voice and you have it.
In a wise move, Liz Davis chose to work with country superstar Blake Shelton for the upcoming season of The Voice.
