Fringe Season 5 poster features the Bishops in revolutionary graffiti art!

Viva la revolution! The final season of Fringe starts next Friday, readers! And to celebrate, you’re looking at the awesome final season poster. Cry tears of joy or sorrow if you like. My guess is true fans of the show will be doing both simultaneously.
In typical Fringe fashion, the poster is a teaser for the season ahead, but it’s also laced with wonderful little motifs from the season. If you look closely enough you can see several of the weird little glyphs that have been used so cleverly throughout the series. Which ones can you see? Leave us a comment!
Of course, the poster serves to remind us that Season 5 is set in the not-so-distant future, in a world where the Observers have dominated the Earth and rule humanity with an iron fist. Okay, a very civilised iron fist, but you get the meaning. In this dark, alternative future of 2036, the Fringe division will awake from an amber slumber and find themselves dangerous outlaws in a changed world. And we’re guessing in the tradition of good versus evil, our Fringe heroes will be expected to overthrow the Fedora-wearing overlords and restore some semblance of democracy. Perhaps Walter Bishop will become Secretary Of Defense in this new world order?
Nice to see Peter, Olivia and Walter scrawled across the wall as potential revolutionaries, symbols of the uprising to come? That’s not normally Fringe’s style, so I’d expect something a little more nuanced when the show goes live on Sept 28. Speaking of out of character – why is Dunham wearing a heavy black leather jacket in this picture? It’s not her usual attire…
Also, the yellow dots – isn’t there some significance in the positioning of those three dots? Wasn’t that a pattern from one of the earlier episodes of the show? Help me out here, Fringies!
Oh, one last…observation (pun intended): I see the letters “JJ” in graffiti style written in the top corner of the poster – a subtle nod to Fringe creator JJ Abrams? Absolutely. But what are the other initials in the other corner? Let me know what you think, folks!
