Californication spoilers – Everybody’s A Fucking Critic
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Evan Handler is stealing the show on Californication this year as Charlie Runkle. From pretending to be gay to score a big-name client to unwittingly making a porn video while taking his kid to a play gym – not to mention that incident aboard Airforce 69 – Runkle has been on top form this year.
And in light of that, today’s spoiler post for Everybody’s A Fucking Critic will feature Charlie Runkle as the main attraction.
You know how Charlie and Marcy came within one romp of a reconciliation? Well, next week’s episode will see a bizarre intervention as Charlie and Stu team up to win Marcy back from toxic feminist Ophelia (Maggie Wheeler). Check out the teaser clip:
The question is, which one will Marcy eventually choose? Runkle’s a screw-up on a massive scale, but he’s also an adorable manchild and has the benefit of having a child with Marcy. But Stu is a whole other level of pervert, and he clearly knows what Marcy likes, even if it’s replaying a scene from The Accused.
This week’s not going to be Hank Moody’s finest hour though. He makes a major mis-step with Becca when he critiques her first novel. Dad of the century effectively tells his daughter to shove the book in a drawer and go out and get drunk, then write something else. ’tis Hank at his least subtle, folks. Watch and see:
The good news is that Hank may be in line for a taste of his own medicine. But you’ll have to tune in to Everybody’s A Fucking Critic to find out what happens next in Californication.
Oh, and stay tuned for a little jam session between Hank and Faith. Who knew Duchovny could play guitar?
