Betrayal season finale spoilers: Who shot Sara and will she die?
NBC’s Betrayal airs its season – and possibly series – finale next week. A Better Place is a pretty ambiguous episode title: after all, Sara has been shot. Does this mean that she dies and is in a ‘better place’, or do both estranged couples put their pasts behind them and move on? Here’s what the synopsis from the peacock says:
In the aftermath of Sara’s shooting, the two families are forced to confront decisions they’ve made, as well as look to the future, on the explosive season finale of Betrayal.
The series slipped to a series low of 2.78 million viewers for Sunday’s episode, which makes a second season look like a very long shot at this point. That said, the term ‘limited series’ has been tossed around, which hopefully implies that the finale will wrap up everybody’s storylines neatly in the end.
Looking ahead to A Better Place, we learn that Sara’s shooting left her brain deprived of oxygen and her condition is critical. That means a huge question mark over whether she’ll make a full recovery and what this means for her relationship with Jack if she does.
One thing’s for sure, if Drew and Jack both turn up at Sara’s bedside, things could get awkward.
There’s a brief shot of Karsten and TJ, although it’s not clear whether the gangster will ever be brought to justice. More interestingly, the hooded shooter is finally apprehended. Personally, my money is on it being Jack’s son Victor. He’s been a little unhinged since the Mrozek shooting, and he took a lecture from granddad about family loyalty. There’s an outside chance that it might have been TJ, but my feeling is that Victor has more of an axe to grind.
Are you looking forward to the season finale of Betrayal? What’s your fantasy ending, should the series not be renewed?
