American Idol 2012 St Louis auditions: Who Is Johnny Keyser? (VIDEO)

Johnny Keyser will be hoping that his big TV debut on tonight’s American Idol episode, will help him move on to bigger and better things than his current serving job at Carrabba’s Italian Grill.

The handsome singer who hails from Missouri, is said to have wowed the judging panel – Randy Jackson, Steve Tyler and Jennifer Lopez – when he tried out in St Louis recently and performed a soulful rendition of Sam Cooke’s ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’.

When J-Lo found out that he is a lowly waiter at an Italian restaurant, she seemed shocked and told Johnny simply:

‘Keep singing!’

Insiders have informed Unreality TV that unsurprisingly, Keyser made it to the Hollywood rounds but you’ll have to wait and tune in to see what his fate was after that stage…we don’t want to ruin it for you!

Listen to the videos below, both of Johnny’s audition and of a cover of Jason Mraz’s “Plane” that he recently uploaded to Youtube and tell us, do you think he has what it takes to make the live shows?
