AGT's Nick Cannon Leaves Radio Show
2012 has not been an easy year for America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon. He first fell ill while on vacation with wife Mariah Carey and twins during the new year. After recovering (mostly) from mild kidney failure, Nick returned to the hospital last weekend after doctors discovered blood clots in his lungs. Due to his health problems, the TV personality was forced to cut back his schedule greatly.
Aside from hosting America’s Got Talent he has a minor role on NBC’s “Up All Night,” hosts a radio show and MTV’s “Wild ‘n Out.” The star tweeted that he would be leaving his radio show “Rollin’ With Nick Cannon.” He wrote, “A bitter sweet morning. I have to stop my radio show. Doctors orders.”
He added, “the doctors found blood clots in my lungs and said if I don’t slow down and stop working so hard then it’s a wrap!” Though Nick will not host his week day show, he will continue to host “Cannon’s Countdown” on the weekends.
A source told E! News that despite Nick’s positive attitude, he’s not doing “great.” Following his mild kidney failure he did not take enough time off to fully recover due to his busy schedule.
America’s Got Talent is currently on the road looking for its next batch of competitors.
